Ceschi & DJ Scientist “Shorted Circuits EP” Coming Soon!
Today, we would like to announce the first Equinox release in 2011: Ceschi & DJ Scientist’s “Shorted Circuits EP” is a very special 10″ picture disc that contains 2 new songs as well as remixes from “The One Man Band Broke Up” album. We are really happy with the tracks and can’t wait to receive the finished vinyls from the pressing plant.
The title track “Shorted Circuits” is a really personal tune – an ode to Ceschi’s grandmother who passed away on September 13th, 2010. It was written back in late 2007/ early 2008 and was supposed to come out on the next album. However, due to her passing we decided to release this earlier alongside the original version of “Black and White and Red All Over”. The acoustic guitar version of the song has already become a highly requested staple of Ceschi’s live performance and we are excited to let you hear the original which almost sounds completely different!
Then, “Half Mast” – another very personal track – got remixed by Vangel, 2econd Class Citizen and Phonatic which all provided stunning new versions. Furthermore, the title track from “The One Man Band Broke Up” got reworked by The Raincoatman to an uptempo alternative rock track…
So yeah – February 25th is the release date! Stay tuned!

Taking a look back at 2010
Hi everyone & happy new year!
Sorry for being offline for a few days. We were working on a new online shop on the back end of our homepage which is almost finished now. Soon you will be able to buy Equinox products on this page directly!
As for taking a look back on 2010, it has been a really good and productive year for us. Highlights included Ceschi & DJ Scientist’s “The One Man Band Broke Up” album, “The 25th” release box set and also the more club oriented 12″s by Kraddy & Son Of Kick. Including the ultra limited collector’s editions of Ceschi’s “Postcard Package” and 2econd Class Citizen’s “Divided Reality” re-issue we had 9 releases this year and we are looking forward to be even more productive in 2011!
We already have a lot of new hot material in the pipeline: A super limited new Ceschi 10inch will be available soon and Geste also finished the work on his new and exiting “Eating Concrete EP”. Apart from this there is lot more to come which we will let you know about soon.
So yeah, thanks for the support in 2010 and stay tuned in 2011!
