Clearance Sale Now Running + Reissues by Ceschi & DJ Scientist

Yes, it’s on! Since midnight, the FINAL CLEARANCE SALE on the Equinox Online Store is running! Prices have never ever been lower and it’s been quite a while since our last sale, so we are sure there is something out there for everybody. Almost all items are reduced heavily in prices, even from befriended labels – so make sure that you check all shop categories! EVERYTHING MUST GO – and we really mean it! Many CD albums are only 1 Euro. This will be the very last sale as our label is closed and space is needed in the office rooms.

But we have not only reduced the prices: We also dug through our archives and added some ULTRA COLLECTABLE items like test pressing, out of print archive copies, autographed albums, and more…

If that’s not enough, we additionally have two brand new reissues available. First, there is a reissue of Ceschi’s “The One Man Band Broke Up” album, now on black vinyl with a brand new poster. And – LAST BUT NOT LEAST – a special 200 copy re-press of DJ Scientist’s epic “For Better, For Worse” album is now available. A small bunch (about maybe 20-30 copies) of these re-presses come with a SENSATIONAL bonus booklet: A complete list with all samples that were used for this album (which are roughly around 300), meticulously researched by Scientist and accurately listed by artist name, song, album title and more. This special version is called “THE MATRIX EDITION” and we believe that a list like this, all risks aside, has never been released for an album which is proofed to be a 100% sample-based. Even the artwork of the album is sampled and listed with original sources. This special edition is now available as a pre-order – and should be available in about 2-3 weeks. The booklet of course will be a piece of art itself – with additional design by the mighty Raincoatman.

The sale will run until Sunday, January 19th. However, we highly recommend to buy now as some items are only available in very limited quantities and we might change the prices when there is only a handful of copies left.

Audiac Releases now available on Bandcamp and Mixcloud

Audiac has been the former sublabel of Equinox Records and we put out a couple of vinyls, CDs and well as Hip-Hop mixes on that imprint. All these releases are now available on Bandcamp as well as Mixcloud.

Amongst albums by Misanthrop, the instrumental EP by Misanthrop & Aqua Luminus III., and a release by Asup, the Misantropolis EP by Ground Zero, which came out in 2002, is available in digital format for the first time. This EP was the very first release from our company and even was produced earlier than the first 12″ on Equinox. DJ Scientist and Backdraft, who formed the backbone of the crew, are the main producers on the EP which is based on raw instrumentals, turntablism and also rap. Among others, “Take Over” features cuts by Robbie Bubble (aka German DMC Champion DJ M-Tech) and “Bergkristall” features vocals by Omega Takeshi (of 88:Komaflash), whereas the intro song “Devotion” has been produced by Misanthrop. We think that it is save to say that Misantropolis is one of the first German “Abstract Hip-Hop” and Turntablism releases and remains a classic in its own right.

Godblesscomputers – Freedom Is Remixed – Out Now

Since today, the “Freedom Is Remixed” EP by Godblesscomputers on our sublabel Equinox.Digital is available via download stores worldwide. For the remixes we have invited the special guests 813 from Russia, who created a stunning new version of “Nowhere”, and Anthony Drawn of Sichtexot Records,who made a great remix of “Fire Extinguisher”. Furthermore, the bouncing remixes by B-Ju and Digi G’Alessio, which have been available previously, are added one more time with a new master. Last but not least, we have a very special exclusive track by Gbc himself called “Feel Sick”, as well as the original of “Green Flowers”. Alltogether, a well rounded, beautiful new release.

Today, we proudly want to announce the exclusive pre-release of Godblesscomputers‘ brand new EP via the US based digital store Addictech.com. We first worked together with Addictech during the release of the two EPs by Kraddy - and as most new versions on “Freedom Is Remixed” are very club-friendly we have arranged a special deal with them again. For one week the release is only available through them, all other stores will have it available one week later, on September 27th.

Finally, the vinyl version of the “Counter Future – A Sound Exposure Vol. 3” is available. The multifold cover looks really awesome and we are very happy with the look, feel and sound of the album! We think this is one of our strongest releases and we hope that you will like it!
The triple vinyl release features 2econd Class Citizen, Andreikelos, Anthony Drawn, Bit-Tuner, Bombers of Consciousness, David Vangel, Dday One, Deckard, Fulgeance, Geste, Glen Porter, Godblesscomputers, Gone Beyond, Graciellita, Haunted Days & Witch’s Teat, J. Geste – P.I.N.N. Electronics – Out Now (+Free Download)

Most of you know the basic meaning of the name „Equinox“, right? Therefore you know that June 21st (past Friday) was the beginning of summer but it was also the official release date of the Counter Future Flexi Disc that features a dope and brand new remake by Geste of a track from 2002 entitled “P.I.N.N. Electronics”.

To celebrate this a bit, and considering the fact that the original tune had inspired the sound of the first “Sound Exposure” compilation, we decided to make this a free download!

The flexi disc is available together will the triple album (sorry again for the delay caused by the pressing plant!!) and some copies are given away through blogs and websites (see older posts).

Today, we are happy to announce the release of the Counter Future EP on two very special 12″ vinyl versions!

As we have announced, the Vinyl version comes in 250 limited copies of two one-sided 12″ vinyl records with etchings designed by CONE & Albane Simon on one side, making the medium itself as special as the recorded music on it!

We are moving fast forward with the Counter Future Series and today we would like to announce the pre-order of the full length “Counter Future – A Sound Exposure Vol. 3” compilation that is run exclusively in cooperation with hhv.de. You can now order two versions of the album at the Equinox Online Store or at the hhv-shop:
The normal edition is a triple vinyl multi gatefold sleeve, while the deluxe edition additionally comes with a very limited bonus flexi disc with a track by Geste (more info about that soon!) as well as a poster.

Last but not least we have prepared the first of two preview mixes for the album. This first snippet contains tracks from the first half of the album by Geste, Godblesscomputers, Fulgeance, Skyence, Andreikelos, 2econd Class Citizen, Playpad Circus, Glen Porter and Haunted Days & Witch’s Teat. Please share it if you like it!

Counter Future EP – Digital Release Out Now!

And so it begins: The biggest project on our label officially starts today with the Digital Release of the “Counter Future EP”. It’s the first preview (or should we say a “kick start”) to the upcoming “Counter Future – A Sound Exposure Vol. 3” album which will drop at the end of May.

This preview EP introduces the project as a whole. The digital version of the EP includes 7 tracks, of which 6 are exclusive. The amazing “Scars” by Skyence will also be featured on the album. However, the original extended full length version is only included on this EP.
