The Counter Future EP is a preview for the compilation "Counter Future – A Sound Exposure Vol. 3", which will be released in May 2013 on Equinox Records.

Italian newcomer producer Godblesscomputers introduces the Counter Future series with the uplifting and impulsive "Chocolate". Next up comes the extended version of "Scars" by Skyence, followed by "After Midnight" from the aspiring Russian beatmaker 813.

With "Running Circles", the first track on part 2 of the vinyl EP, Rawbot offers a very club friendly electronic track. "Lunatic Dolphin" by Misanthrop is next with punching 808 drums, and leads over to "Crash" by Swiss beatmaker Bit-Tuner, who delivers a more minimalistic, yet deep production. Finally, Haunted Days & Witch's Teat, a French production duo who won the last Equinox remix contest, end the EP with the more organic and deeper "Our Music Box" which satisfies the listener with intricate rhythms and excellent arrangement.

Originally released as a vinyl only split 7” this was the second official release on Equinox and was part of the "Welcome to the Neo Golden Age" series.
DJ Scientist sets the pace with "Anything About Nothing" - a disturbing mix of hard hitting organic drums and desperately screaming psychedelica samples. On the flip side, a hypnotically moaning voice accompanied by a hauling downtempo drumbeat forces its way into the listeners ears on "Waiting For The Sun". The intruder goes by the name of Mnemotrauma who may be known for his releases on the avant-garde Subversiv Records.

This 4-track EP is the opener for the "Welcome to the Neo Golden Age" series and - being our first vinyl release - gives a brief overview of what to expect from the upcoming compilation album. The EP features 4 artists: Arcsin breaks the ground with "Positron Affirmation": Deep hip-hop drums and hypnotic vocal samples lay the foundation for this fine composition of shuffling dark synth lines. Next, Emynd hits us with his up-tempo instrumental track "Positive Reinforcement". The straight forward drumbeat, combined with powerful analogue samples and the overall 80s sound will quickly fill any dancefloor.
The EP continues with Danny Decock. He sets up a beautiful composition of a shuffled melody, a crashing drumbeat and at the end of the track, takes it away with the gently weeping guitar. The release is concluded by Aqua Luminus III., with his pace driven and hectical "OP Wüste" as well as a DJ Bonus Edit of "Positive Reinforcement".

This one features two beat heads out of Germany, both of them creating forward thinking electronic music.

There is Playpad Circus, constantly killing it at remix jobs and live shows, and Azabeats, part of the alt rap group Son Kas and the Postrap collective.

Sharing a 10", Playpad Circus' "Drink And Fuck" directs into a sinister, feral world, while "Far Away From You" by Azabeats points out the way out of there, before he too shatters the supposed to be homelike place ("Last Week").
Brute beats, breaks and samples meet sort of speak garageish ideas, with drums as leitmotif.
