The Counter Future EP is a preview for the compilation "Counter Future – A Sound Exposure Vol. 3", which will be released in May 2013 on Equinox Records.

Italian newcomer producer Godblesscomputers introduces the Counter Future series with the uplifting and impulsive "Chocolate". Next up comes the extended version of "Scars" by Skyence, followed by "After Midnight" from the aspiring Russian beatmaker 813.

With "Running Circles", the first track on part 2 of the vinyl EP, Rawbot offers a very club friendly electronic track. "Lunatic Dolphin" by Misanthrop is next with punching 808 drums, and leads over to "Crash" by Swiss beatmaker Bit-Tuner, who delivers a more minimalistic, yet deep production. Finally, Haunted Days & Witch's Teat, a French production duo who won the last Equinox remix contest, end the EP with the more organic and deeper "Our Music Box" which satisfies the listener with intricate rhythms and excellent arrangement.

"Same Old Love Song", the new single by Ceschi is an upbeat folk tinged hip hop piece which owes as much to OD's "Beneath The Surface" as it does to Too Short's "Freaky Tales". On this track, Ceschi has recruited LA Underground legends 2Mex and Awol One to join in on tackling the always relevant issue of women. On "Objects Are Falling" we hear him team up with Freestyle Fellowship founder, Myka 9 on an infectiously bouncy beat. With these tracks and additional remixes, the mostly instrumental, Equinox Records may have released one of the strongest hip hop singles to come out in years.

This could easily be the most adventurous electronic release this year. Before creating the glitchiest electronic music known to computers and men, Geste from Paris was an accomplished bass player in various bands, playing music from hardcore punk to post rock. Those influences are still alive in the ferocious energy of the music he does now. 6 years ago, Misanthrop & Aqua Luminus III. released the "Leinwand EP" on Audiac Records as a 10inch picture disc. With their new collaborative offering, under the self-explanatory title "6 Years Later EP", the two producers combine once again and provide another banging electronic Hip-Hop release. This single is the first collaboration release by Ceschi and DJ Scientist. "Count On It" is a powerful hip hop anthem sparked by Scientist's epic string and drum arrangement. "Bad Jokes", is one of the key tracks making up Ceschi's semi-fictional story of a one-man-band who went by the name of "Julius and The Bearded Savior". Although "Bad Jokes" is the first story you will hear about "The One Man Band" - it is one of the last stories about his life that is featured on the upcoming album which is littered with references to this same story.
